Total of $90,000 Granted to 16 Organizations family1. $8,000 Boys and Girls Club of Niagara – Niagara Falls 
Supports operating costs of a new 6-bed emergency shelter which provides accommodation and a variety of services 

2. $1,000 Community Living Manitoulin – Sudbury 
Supports developmentally handicapped adults and children in the District of Sudbury Manitoulin, through a group home environment also offers programs to help transition clients to their own apartments, and life-skill development courses to prepare clients for independent living grant to support the building of a five-bedroom barrier free home
 
3. $2,000 Georgian Triangle Residential Resource Centre – Collingwood 
Services all segments of the community who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless -  assists in identifying and working towards eliminating existing barriers to suitable and affordable shelter grant to support general programming
 
4. $7,000 Habitat for Humanity Halton – Burlington 
To support a build in Georgetown

5. $2,000 Habitat for Humanity Grey Bruce – Owen Sound
To support the Hanover and Owen Sound builds

6. $2.5000 Habitat for Humanity Northumberland – Cobourg 
To support a $40,000 renovation project for a home to be completed Fall 2004

7. $1,5000 Habitat for Humanity - Prince Edward Hastings Affiliate – Belleville 
To support current builds in Picton and Belleville

8. $30,000 Habitat for Humanity – Toronto 
To co-sponsor a unit in a 40 unit town-house build with the Toronto Real Estate Board

9. $2,5000 Interim Place – Mississauga
Shelter for abused women and children grant to support the Board sponsorship of the Youth Homework Lounge
 
10. $2,000 Leeds & Grenville Interval House – Brockville 
Provides a 10-bed shelter and a variety of services for abused women and their children grant to support the Building for Safety’s Sake project: construction of a new $1.5M facility

11. $10,000 Mission Services of London – London
A 79-bed shelter facility for men 16 years of age and older functions as emergency accommodation (54 beds) as well as a domiciliary hostel for men who require transitional/longer term shelter and support (25 beds) grant to support Men’s Mission and Rehabilitation Centre expansion project

12. $10,000 REALTORS Association of Hamilton-Burlington re: HOAP (Home Ownership Affordability Project) 
Partnership with REALTORS Association of Hamilton-Burlington, Homebuilders Association, Threshold School of Building and City of Hamilton to provide affordable housing program involves acquiring a single-family home, renovating it and then coordinating a family currently living in subsidized housing, to purchase it grant to support the purchase and renovation of the second HOAP house in Fall 2004

13. $3,000 The Community Living of the Upper Ottawa Valley – Pembroke 
Supports people with intellectual disabilities to develop their capacity to live, learn, work and participate in their community grant to purchase, renovate and staff two new homes which will house and service up to 8 people with intellectual disabilities who currently reside with and are supported by senior parents

14. $5,000 The Peterborough Area Flood Relief Fund – Peterborough 
Grant to match funds donated to the Relief Fund by the Peterborough Real Estate Board

15. $1,000 The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Sault Ste. Marie 
24-bed emergency short-term men’s shelter which seeks to provide men with a safe, secure place to stay while they make the transition to more permanent housing grant to support regular monthly expenses required to maintain the shelter and provide food and other necessities for the residents

16. $2,5000 Touchstone Youth Centre – Toronto 
30-bed emergency shelter and programs for homeless youth between the ages of 16 and 20 grant to support annual operating expenses
